Picnic
Picnic is an online supermarket aiming to make grocery shopping quick, simple and sustainable.
As a sidejob alongside my 2nd internship, I started working at Picnic as a Runner.
Illustrating a logo for the local Hub resulted in landing a part-time employment at Picnic as the illustrator.
Today I am responsible for creating and maintaining the illustrations for the wonderful world of Picnic.

Picnic has known 3 illustration styles since its founding in 2015, facing millions of customers across the Netherlands, Germany and France.
In 2018, the 2nd style was introduced. The most recent style was slowly phased in from March 2022.

Evolution of Peter Picnic
It's in the details
During the time of the 2nd style, many small tweaks have been made by me.
Improvements on the atomic design, shape/body language, use of whitespace and much more can be spotted
in the underlying designs from 2018 and 2020.

Media-bundance
Designing the wonderful world of Picnic fully in vectors grants usability for all forms of media.
From small-scale illustrated visuals on your phone in the app, to full-scale on the side of Picnic's cars.
From printed Christmas magazines, to inspiring and service-related e-mails.
